GLENVILLE – Coach Jimmy Mullins' Pioneer Baseball team travels to the North this weekend, facing Northern Division rivals Fairmont and Frostburg. Glenville plays the Falcons on Saturday, with the doubleheader set for Bridgeport, and on Sunday they travel in the Western Maryland to face the Bobcats for a pair.
Glenville currently has seven starters hitting over .300, led by Zach Morris (.351), Ryan Rodriguez (.343), and Fabian Escalante (.339). The pitching staff is led by starters Diego Tamariz (5-1, 2.51) and Adam Riggleman (5-1, 2.88).
Fairmont (6-2) and Frostburg (7-1) are the top two teams in the Northern Division in the MEC Standings. Glenville enters the weekend 16-6 overall, and 4-4 in the league.
The doubleheaders start at 1:00 each day.
