GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Wrestling is set to compete in one of the biggest wrestling classics in the country tomorrow (Dec. 16) through Sunday (Dec. 17) at the Midwest Classic, hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The Pioneers have been off since December 2. 

GSU had a much-needed break since last being on the mat two weeks ago where the Pioneers had just six of their 10 starters. Head Coach Dylan Cottrell expects nine and possibly all 10 starters to wrestle this weekend.  

50 other teams will be joining the Pioneers in the mega-tournament, with 21 of them being nationally ranked. Furthermore, seven of the top 10 teams will be in action, including defending national champion Central Oklahoma and current No. 1 Lander. Within the teams competing, there are 70 ranked wrestlers with four of the top-ranked wrestlers in four different weight classes making an appearance. One of those being Glenville's own, Gavin Quiocho in the 133 class.
