GLENVILLE, W.Va. - Glenville State Wrestling will be back on the mat tomorrow (Jan. 5) until Saturday (Jan. 6) at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals on the campus of the University of Northen Iowa. The Pioneers last wrestled at the Midwest Classic on Dec. 16.
The blue and white will be accompanied by 15 other nationally ranked teams, including eight of the top 10 teams in the country. Those competing include Ashland, Augustana, Lake Erie, Lander, McKendree, Newberry, Northern State, St. Cloud State, Tiffin, Central Oklahoma, Indianapolis, Univ. of Mary, Nebraska-Kearney, Upper Iowa and West Liberty. The Pioneers will kick off the event against Nebraska-Kearney in the bracket-style event.
Glenville State had four wrestlers finish 2-2, one go 3-2 and Gaetano DeLeonardis went 5-2 to lead the team at the Midwest Classic three weeks ago. DeLeonardis finished 7th in the loaded 157 class.
