MANHEIM, Pa. – The Glenville State Wrestling team has been ranked 8^th in the NWCA Preseason Top 25 while four individuals were ranked in the top 10 nationally, the association announced today. The Pioneers were also tabbed 4^th in the NWCA Super Region 3 Preseason Poll.

Glenville State finished 12^th at last year's NCAA DII Wrestling Championships, crowning a program-record four All-Americans as GSU reached as high as No. 2 in the NWCA's Top 25 poll. The blue and white were also Super Region 3 Champions for the first time in program history and captured their second-consecutive Mountain East Conference championship with six Pioneers earning individual MEC titles in their respective weight class.

Sixth-year head coach Dylan Cottrell returns three of his four All-Americans from last year's squad in Nick Johnson, Colton Drousias and Gabe Onorato. Johnson (No. 3, 197 lbs), Drousias (No. 5, 125 lbs) and Onorato (No. 2, 149 lbs) were all ranked nationally in the NWCA's preseason poll as well as former Northern Illinois transfer Hayden Pummel, who slotted in at No. 10 in the 174-pound rankings. Pummel qualified for nationals last season before suffering an injury that sidelined him the remainder of the season.

The Pioneers open the 2025-26 season next Saturday (Nov. 1) at the Glenville Invite inside the Waco Center.
