BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – Glenville State Acrobatics & Tumbling star Savannah Duckworth has been named the 2026 Mountain East Conference Athlete of the Year, the league announced.
 
Duckworth becomes just the second non-Fairmont State Falcon to win the award in the seven-year history of the league, with Frostburg State's Abbie Baker in 2023 being the only other winner. Duckworth captured MEC Athlete of the Week twice and was once NCATA Athlete of the Week honorable mention in 2026, using her 11 competed heats per meet to her advantage. The Worthington, W.Va. native is a former NCATA All-American and now three-time All-MEC First Team selection, solidifying her spot as one of the top athletes in recent history at Glenville State.
