INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Glenville State Wrestling team had six different wrestlers capture a total of seven nationally ranked wins this weekend at the Greyhound Open on the campus of the University of Indianapolis. Head Coach Dylan Cottrell mixed in both starters and reserves to wrestle this weekend, as he mentioned he would earlier in the week on the Pioneer Coaches Show.
GSU had five wrestlers go undefeated, led by Ethan Hardy and Gaetano DeLeonardis each going 3-0. Hardy and DeLeonardis both picked up wins over nationally ranked wrestlers while Gavin Quiocho (2-0 record), Isaiah Casto (2-0 record) and Nick Johnson (2-0 record) did as well. Johnson was able to pick up two nationally ranked wins, the most by any Pioneer on the day. Gavin Shamblin was the final wrestler to pick up a win over a top 20 opponent, going 2-1 on the day.

The Pioneers will wrestle again next Sunday at the Ashland Tri-Meet against Ashland and Grand Valley State.
