BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Glenville State Wrestling Coach Dylan Cottrell has been named Mountain East Conference Coach of the Year, the league announced today. 

Cottrell, who just completed his fourth year as head coach, earned MEC Coach of the Year honors for the second-consecutive year. Cottrell and the Pioneers turned in a record of 13-10 in dual meets this season and won the program's first-ever MEC Championship. At the MEC Championship, GSU won individual championships at five of the weight classes and finished runner-up in four others. The Pioneers also sent five wrestlers to nationals, with two earning All-America honors in Wichita as Gavin Quiocho placed 2nd and Gaetano DeLeonardis 3rd.
