Bob Sowards, a native of Sciotodale, OH was a four-time All Conference athlete in 1987, 1988, 1989, and 1990. Lettering in golf all four years of his college career, Bob received All-American Honors twice and was honored as WVIAC Golfer of the Year in 1987, 1989, and 1990. Sowards has been a Club Pro every year since graduating from Glenville State College. He holds the Course Record at the Angola National Tournament in Angola, Indiana and worked as Assistant Pro at the Wedgewood Country Club. As a professional, Sowards played on the NIKE tour in 1998 and was named the 2004 PGA Club Professional of the Year. He played on the Nationwide Tour in 2004 and in 2008. Sowards and his wife, Lynn, have one son, Jordon.
