Lavern "Bunny" Taylor, a native of Bickmore (WV), amassed 1,446 points during her basketball career at GSC, which still ranks her fifth All-Time. She was consistently ranked near the top of the WVIAC in both scoring and assists. Bunny was three time All-WVIAC and received GSC's Clarissa Williams Award in 1984. Since graduation from Glenville she has taught and coached in the Clay County school district. After serving as the Head Girl's basketball coach at Clay County High School for ten years, Bunny has moved to officiating basketball and volleyball at the interscholastic level. Additionally, she has received her master's degree in educational leadership from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies in Charleston.
