After graduating from GSC, where her jersey has been retired, Rachel taught in Braxton County as a gifted education teacher for 1 year. Following her first year of teaching, she pursued her dream of playing basketball professionally overseas. She was picked up by an agency in France and played with a team in Portugal for 1 season. This allowed her time to travel Europe as well as play the game she loved. Following, she returned to Braxton County where she taught 6th grade for 1 year.
She then moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where she taught 4th grade for one year and then decided to make a career change. Rachel currently works for a software company as a Client Relationship Manager and is a certified LesMills BodyPump instructor on the side.  Additionally she is in the process of starting her own e-commerce business. Rachel and her husband Morgan Wickland are enjoying parenthood as their son Brett Ryan Wickline was born on July 7, 2016.
