Brian Hill was a local product, coming to Glenville from nearby Liberty High School in Harrison County, graduating high school in 1986. He was an outstanding defensive lineman, who broke the Glenville record for tackles in a season with 145 in 1988. He made First-Team All-WVIAC that season. Hill closed his career with 366 total tackles.

Since his playing days, Hill has enjoyed a long and successful coaching career. He now serves as Glenville's Defensive Coordinator and Chief Diversity Officer. He played alongside Pioneer defensive legends such as Todd Layhew, Luther Toney, and Eric Mitchell. Hill has served coaching stints at Cumberland, Union, VMI, Lenoir-Rhyne, Concord, Georgia Military, Furman, West Liberty, and now back at his alma mater.

Hill continues his commitment of bringing togetherness and camaraderie to the Glenville State campus community.
