  • Ralph Ledbetter is a native of Seat Pleasant, MD transferred to Glenville State in the fall of 1976 following a season and a half at NCAA Division I Saint Francis College, Loretto, Pennsylvania PA where he scored 26 vs. Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
  •     He became eligible to compete in basketball at GSC following the conclusion of the fall 1976 semester and lead the Pioneers to a 16-2 second semester record and a
  •    1976-77 2nd Place finish in the WVIAC Regular Season, the highest finish since that time. 
  •    In 1976-77, he scored 318 points, had152 rebounds and helping GSC to their 17-9 record (16-2 after his becoming eligible)
  •    He received 1977 Honorable Mention All American, was 1977 and 1978 1st Team All WVIAC All Conference Team, and 1977 WVIAC All-Tournament Team
  •   1977-78 381 points scored    188 rebounds    17-11 record
  •    After leaving Glenville in 1978, he immediately began working at the "Washington Terminal Station" (for those who remember "Union Station", in Washington, D.C.)
  •    In 1980 Ralph began a return to Basketball, while still working his regular job, He began playing with a Semi-Professional Team, "The Maryland All-Stars.
  •     In 1982, he received a call to come play in Germany and started off in Koblenz, Kesselheim, Linz Am Rhein, Wittlich, and in Palma Ahn in Luxembourg, to name a few – playing professional ball for an all total of 17 years.   
  •     During those times he also worked many different jobs, from warehouse to secretary at a Insurance company in Luxembourg.
  •    Through the Years, he has coached youth, men, and women’s basketball.
  •    He is presently head of basketball in Hallbergmoos (outside of Münich, Germany.
  •    Due to an unfortunate back injury in 2010, he has been unemployed for the past six years because this injury doesn’t allow him to stand for too long or to sit as long as it would have taken him to fly from Germany for today’s induction ceremony, thus the Skype.
  •     Ralph and his wife Monique have one son, Justin who also plays basketball.
